- Summary:
It’s used for gaining and determining cable’s capability of preventing the fire from spreading.
Be applied to the Standard GB/T18380.(11-12)-2008, “Cable and optical fiber cable under the condition of the flame burning experiment? single insulated wire and cable vertical flame spreading test”.

Technical parameters:
◆ Control box, fume cupboard, and metal cover are designed as one-piece. Material is stainless steel.
◆ Both ends of the sample are fixed and and vertical to the meter cover whose three sides are metal plate. Light the blowtorch, to make the tip of the blue inner cone touches the sample surface and keep the blowtorch and test sample with a vertical axis 45°.
◆ Burning chamber:
Dimension: 300(W)*(H)1200 *450(D)mm
Material: Mirror stainless steel, front is open, and top and bottom are sealed.
Equipped with chamber temperature monitoring, temperature: 23±10℃
◆ Blowtorch: 1KW burning nozzle (As per GB/T5169.14-2007/ IEC60695-11-2:2003), height of blue flame core: 50~60mm, total flame height: 170～190mm
◆ Gas: High purity 95% technical grade propane gas
◆ Sample installation:
Sample length: 600±25mm
Sample holder: There’re two horizontal holders, distance between lower edge of up holder and up edge of lower holder is 550mm.
◆ Fire supply time: 0.1-999.9s continuous setting. Within the set time, flame can burn the sample continuously.
◆ Blowtorch: standard power: 1kw
◆ Blowtorch mounting position
Distance between the blue flame contact point and horizontal up holder lower edge: 475mm.
Angle between blowtorch and sample’s vertical axis: 45 degree
◆ Flame testing device: Φ0.5, K type imported thermocouple, copper cathode block Φ9mm, 10g±0.05g, each one set of temperature and time display device.
